On Saturday 2nd of July 2011 we visited Charis Integrated Cancer Care where we donated £1000 to their amazing charity.
The bulk of the money for this donation was raised by Jean and Ian Montgomery, from Randalstown, who organised a family BBQ.
We didn’t know what to expect when we were asked to visit Charis. However, it didn’t matter what we were told, you really have to experience this place for yourself to believe it. Words cannot adequately describe the tranquility and beauty of the setting, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and the state of the art onsite facilities.
You don’t have to be of a religious conviction to feel that Charis could actually be a little slice of heaven on earth and believe that the staff are angels in human form. This was probably the most rewarding afternoon we have experienced during the lifetime of Eye Feel Good.
Nestled in the Sperrins on the shores of the delightful Lough Fea Charis provide Integrated Cancer Care for the needs of people diagnosed with cancer, their family and supporters.
Charis provide a caring and holistic approach providing psychological, physical and practical support.
By providing the full suite of complementary therapies under one roof in the purpose built building Charis offers an integrated and client focused approach.
Integrated Cancer Care is a holistic approach for those people whose lives are affected by cancer. Integrated care seeks to help both the patient and those closest to them. It is the effective blend of mainstream cancer treatments with psychological therapies, complementary therapies and emotional and practical support
We were absolutely humbled and in awe of the fantastic work that goes on at Charis and we would like to help spread the word about their work.
