Eye Feel Good decided to make a donation to the NI Hospice to mark a special anniversary that meant something to the team. Members of the local NI Hospice fund-raising committee were invited along to a presentation evening to receive the donation at the Antrim Civic Centre on Thursday 4th February.
Eye Feel Good presented their plans for the annual 3 day charity canoe expedition from Antrim to Castlerock to 40 attendees. The trip this year is on 14th, 15th and 16th April and is intended to be bigger and better than last year in every aspect.
The expedition involves paddling 55 miles in Canadian Canoes from Antrim to Castlerock via the northern shore of Lough Neagh and the Lower Bann. Participants will have to be self sufficient on the trip and will camp out under the stars at Ballyronan and Portna. All participants will take part in a wet and wild training weekend which will equip them for the rigours of the 3 day paddle and life in the great outdoors.
Eye Feel Good chairman, Richard Fee, said “I am genuinely excited about the trip this year. We have participants from all walks of life and all ages and abilities, that is going to make for a very interesting experience. This is exactly what Eye Feel Good is all about. We always want to engage the local community and give people the opportunity to raise money whilst doing something out of the ordinary. I really hope we can raise a lot of money for Eye Feel Good this year and have a real fun time doing it.”
